The GFTW “Up North’ Marketplace & Green Living Celebration is the largest showcase of unique forest-based products and services of regional artists and artisans in the Midwest. Since 2003 the Marketplace has drawn more than 22,000 visitors of whom 45% have come from outside the immediate vicinity of the event. The 2009 Marketplace will have a Green Living theme and will again be a free event for visitors.

This year’s one-day Marketplace & Celebration will be hosted in a unique forest setting by Ruttger’s Sugar Lake Lodge (www.sugarlakelodge.com). The location offers many attractions beyond the Marketplace including unique lodging facilities, special up-north meal menus, golf, marina, fishing, guided woodland walks, special events and the “feel” of the northwoods. The Lodge will be promoting the event as a special weekend destination getaway to its extensive and qualified mailing list. The exhibits will be housed in a spacious tent just outside the lodge door and overlooking beautiful Sugar Lake. Vendors will have the option of a booth or table-top space for their exhibit.
